SUNTORY THE YAMAZAKI

“Yamazaki” is a single malt whisky born from the meeting of various Yamazaki malts—including the traditional Mizunara cask-aged malt and the innovative wine cask-aged malt—which mature here through countless seasons, crafted with the renowned spring water that rises from the Yamazaki land.

The color is a bright amber with a reddish hue. The aroma is soft and floral, with underlying strawberry notes contributed by the wine cask-matured malt. The smooth, honey-like sweetness and sparkling expansion are created by the addition of Mizunara oak cask-matured malt. It leaves a beautiful, pleasant finish reminiscent of sweet vanilla and cinnamon.

Yamazaki Distillery is located in Yamazaki, Mishima District, Osaka Prefecture, on the border with Kyoto Prefecture. Since its founding in 1924 as Japan's first authentic whisky distillery, it has continued to lead the history of Japanese whisky. Crafted using water from Mizunomori and Rikyu, the famed waters once cherished by Sen no Rikyū, Yamazaki captivates malt connoisseurs worldwide with its noble and complex flavor profile.
